On May 28, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine announced that the Class 1.1 innovative Chinese medicine, Xiao’er Reliqing Granules—developed by its subsidiaries, Qizheng (Hengqin, Zhuhai) International Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Gansu Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Co., Ltd.—has received the “Notice of Approval for Clinical Trials” issued by the National Medical Products Administration. This drug is intended for the treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infections in children characterized by wind-heat combined with dampness syndrome. This achievement marks a significant step forward for the company in the field of innovative pediatric Chinese medicines and holds promise for providing new therapeutic options for the treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infections in children.
It is reported that the prescription for Xiao’er Re Li Qing Granules originates from the clinical experience formula of Zhang Shiqing, a renowned traditional Chinese medicine practitioner nationwide. The formula has a long history of safe and effective use in humans. Its main functions and indications include relieving fever and clearing the exterior, eliminating dampness and harmonizing the stomach; it is indicated for acute upper respiratory tract infections characterized by wind-heat combined with dampness. In accordance with the notice received and in compliance with the regulations governing new drug development and drug registration, the company will systematically conduct Phase II and Phase III clinical trials and complete all related tasks, actively advancing the drug development process, consolidating the submission materials, and submitting the product for market approval.
