Recently, at the “2025 PDI Pharmaceutical R&D & Innovation Conference and the Release Ceremony of the Top 100 Chinese Pharmaceutical R&D List,” the “2025 China Pharmaceutical R&D Strength Ranking” series of lists was unveiled. Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has been honored with a place in the TOP50 of the “2025 China Traditional Chinese Medicine R&D Strength Ranking,” ranking 26th, thanks to its outstanding performance in R&D innovation and its remarkable contributions to promoting the modernization of Tibetan medicine.
It is reported that the “2025 China Pharmaceutical R&D Strength Ranking” was initiated by Yaozhi.com and has been published continuously for ten sessions since its launch in 2016.
As a leading modern Tibetan medicine enterprise, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine is deeply rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Tibetan medicine. It precisely focuses on Tibetan medicine’s areas of therapeutic strength, consistently leverages modern innovative technologies to develop new Tibetan medicines, expands the clinical application scope of Tibetan medicine, enhances its clinical value, and creates Tibetan medical treatment solutions that better meet the health needs of contemporary people.
In 2024, the company will continue to take the modernization of Tibetan medicine as its strategic guide, further refine its management system, consistently strengthen project quality control, and wholeheartedly promote the high-quality implementation of R&D projects. In evidence-based medicine research, the company’s products—Qingpeng Ointment, Bai Mai Ointment, and Honghua Ruyi Pills—have been incorporated into several authoritative consensus statements/guidelines. The “Ten-Flavor Gentian Flower” product has completed an RCT study on acute and chronic bronchitis and has filed an application for protection of its Chinese medicinal product variety. In new drug development, Bai Mai Ointment has received from the National Medical Products Administration a notice of acceptance for clinical trials of a modified traditional Chinese medicine new drug.
It is worth noting that in 2024, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine continued to increase its R&D investment, with annual R&D spending reaching 104.7 million yuan—a 5.35% year-on-year increase compared to 2023. The number of R&D personnel stood at 318, representing an 8.16% year-on-year growth.
After years of dedicated effort, Qizheng R&D has established a clinical research methodology that integrates three key components: “basic theoretical research on Tibetan medicine’s unique characteristics, modern mechanistic studies, and advanced evidence-based medicine.” This has enabled the formation of a high-performing R&D team and the establishment of a quality management system covering the entire lifecycle of drug development, thereby playing a leading role in addressing major diseases in Tibetan medicine.
