On September 9, in line with the mission of “Empowering Chinese Education and Shaping China’s Future,” the 2020 Call for Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Cases and the list of winners for the 4th CSR China Education Awards were officially announced. Qizheng Tibetan Medicine stood out among numerous domestic and international companies and was awarded two prestigious honors—the “Best Annual CSR Brand” and the “Best CSR Strategy Award”—in recognition of its more than two decades of industry practice in pursuing altruistic social responsibility in ethnic minority regions and its implementation of the “Education and Talent Development Program for Ethnic Minority Areas.”

The CSR China Education Award was established in 2014. Under the initiative and guidance of relevant government agencies, it is the only corporate social responsibility (CSR) award in China’s education sector, jointly launched by several industry organizations. The award aims to encourage and recognize outstanding CSR projects that support the development of China’s education. Since the launch of this year’s award, a total of 187 domestic and international companies have submitted applications for the CSR China Education Award.
In 1995, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine established its presence in Linzhi, Tibet. The company’s operations, employees, and products are closely intertwined with the local community, environment, and people—blending seamlessly into the region. Qizheng Tibetan Medicine deeply understands that education and talent development in ethnic minority areas are closely linked to the company’s sustainable development, the local economic prosperity, and social harmony.
Over more than two decades of development, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has consistently focused on education and talent cultivation in ethnic minority regions—from supporting general education and promoting traditional Tibetan medical education to fostering scientific, technical, and managerial talents who meet the needs of modern enterprises. Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has always regarded it as its rightful responsibility and mission to nurture a group of talented individuals in ethnic minority areas—individuals equipped with a solid knowledge base, an inclusive and confident character, and a broad-minded, open-minded perspective.
To date, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has established and supported Qizheng Primary School in Duowa Township, Tongren County, Qinghai Province; and has donated to and supported the Gongbu Manlong Yutuo Tibetan Medical School in Nanyigou, Linzhi, Tibet. As the primary implementing entity of the special initiative supported by the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee’s Association for the Development and Protection of Tibetan Culture, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine supports six privately-run Tibetan medical schools located in Tibetan areas of Tibet, Qinghai, Gansu, and Sichuan. Additionally, Qizheng has set up the “Qizheng-Saicang Scholarship” at Gansu National Normal University, providing financial assistance to over a thousand students. At the same time, the company has been cultivating local Tibetan talent through mechanisms such as mentorship programs and internal competitive recruitment. In 2019, the company undertook a key national special project, incorporating the training of core Tibetan R&D personnel as one of its project objectives. It is expected that, through the implementation of this project, 80 core Tibetan professionals will be trained in Tibetan medical theory, pharmacology and toxicology, quality standards, and clinical evaluation, thereby striving to elevate the level of scientific research in Tibetan medicine in ethnic regions.
