On September 26, the "2020 China Greater Health Industry Summit," hosted by 21st Century Business Herald and themed "Reconstructing the Value of the Greater Health Industry in the Face of Public Health Crises," was held in Guangzhou. At the summit, the winners of the 2020 China Health Industry "Sunshine" Awards were announced. Qizheng Tibetan Medicine stood out among more than 300 A-share listed companies in the medical and health sector, earning the Social Responsibility & Benchmark Enterprise Award—the "Industry Benchmark Enterprise Award"—for its outstanding contributions during the pandemic, as well as its exemplary practices in areas such as innovative corporate management, revenue expansion, proactive tax compliance, responsibility toward shareholders and employees, safe production, and poverty alleviation and assistance to those in need.

The 21st Century Business Herald believes that the healthcare industry is closely linked to everyone’s health and well-being. Fulfilling social responsibility is an attitude that the healthcare industry must steadfastly uphold—a bottom line that large-scale health enterprises must never compromise. Based on this belief, in 2017, the 21st Century Business Herald launched the “Sunshine” Award for China’s Greater Healthcare Industry, and to date, the award has been held four times.
This year’s selection process established seven key indicators: economic benefits, environmental protection, product quality and safety, fair competition, employee compensation, social welfare, and reporting on social responsibility. Additionally, the companies’ fulfillment of social responsibilities during the pandemic was incorporated as a crucial indicator into the analysis and evaluation. By quantifying each company’s performance in fulfilling its social responsibilities, we ultimately selected 16 outstanding enterprises and individuals.
Founded in 1995, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine is the first enterprise to participate in the Guangcai Initiative’s science and technology assistance program for Tibet. Qizheng Tibetan Medicine firmly believes that a company’s healthy growth and high-quality development are closely linked to its active commitment to social responsibility. Over the past 25 years, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has integrated the concept of social responsibility into its long-term vision, strategic planning, and specific operational plans, continuously monitoring and refining every detail of how this concept is put into practice within the company. Since 2009, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has voluntarily published an annual corporate social responsibility report for 11 consecutive years, proactively disclosing to the public its CSR strategy, management philosophy, practical approaches, and concrete progress made in key areas such as patient care, technological innovation, employee development, cultural preservation, and resource conservation.
During the pandemic, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine swiftly mobilized its classic Tibetan medicines at the fastest possible pace to support Wuhan’s frontline anti-epidemic efforts. It promptly resumed production and operations, rapidly manufacturing classic Tibetan medicines specifically designed for plague outbreaks and infectious viruses. The company also supplied the “Gansu Formula”—a Tibetan medicine prescription—needed by the Gansu medical team aiding Hubei and by medical personnel caring for imported cases from abroad. Furthermore, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine actively participated in the research team led by Academician Zhong Nanshan in screening Tibetan medicines for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. As of now, the total value of medicines, epidemic prevention supplies, and financial assistance provided by Qizheng Tibetan Medicine to the frontline anti-epidemic efforts has reached 6.7 million yuan.
