According to a report from Xinhua Net’s Gansu Channel, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine urgently mobilized more than 500,000 yuan worth of supplies and cash on the 15th to support the disaster-stricken areas. Drawing on their experience in disaster relief efforts during the Wenchuan earthquake, Qizheng has primarily allocated emergency medicines aimed at treating acute sprains and strains as well as reducing swelling and relieving pain. To ensure that pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory emergency medications reach the injured as quickly as possible, the company specially selected staff with expertise in Tibetan medicine to form a small task force, which set off overnight to deliver the supplies to the disaster zone. On the 16th, Qizheng launched joint rescue efforts with Yushu Prefecture People’s Hospital, administering topical pain-relieving medications to over 1,000 injured people within just half a day.
To maintain order during the disaster relief efforts, the Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Rescue Team withdrew from Yushu immediately after distributing the medicines on April 18.
