On August 14, staff from Qizheng Tibetan Medicine traveled to 24 COVID-19 quarantine and protection sites within Lhasa City, donating 20,000 bags of Cuitang Granules—enough for 1,000 people—and providing detailed instructions on the usage of Cuitang Granules, a formula included in the “Tibet Autonomous Region COVID-19 Tibetan Medicine Prevention and Treatment Guidelines (Versions 1, 2, and 3),” to each of these sites.
According to reports, on the evening of August 12, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine submitted a letter of intent to the Leading Group for COVID-19 Response of the Tibet Autonomous Region, requesting to donate anti-epidemic medicines to the frontline of epidemic prevention and control. The leading officials of the autonomous region’s epidemic response leadership group quickly responded and expressed their support. With vehicles dispatched by the Autonomous Region Maternal and Child Health Hospital coordinating the delivery, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine launched its first batch of donations to 24 protection posts.
Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has consistently spared no effort in leveraging the unique characteristics of Tibetan medicine to support epidemic prevention and control efforts. It has successively donated anti-epidemic medicines—including Cuitang Granules—to frontline抗疫 teams in Wuhan and Lanzhou, to infected employees of a Nepalese construction company aiding Guangzhou, and to Belarus.
It is understood that Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has actively participated in the epidemic prevention and control efforts in the Tibet Autonomous Region. On August 9, a batch of anti-epidemic medicines and supplies was organized and distributed to 135 nucleic acid testing sites in Lhasa City, frontline medical facilities in Shannan, Shigatse, and Nyingchi, as well as to relevant makeshift medical teams. Meanwhile, to ensure the stable production and supply of anti-epidemic drugs such as influenza pills, workers at Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s production line in Liuwu District, Lhasa City, have been confined to the factory and are working overtime to meet the demand and guarantee the supply of these essential medicines.
Qizheng Tibetan Medicine stated that, as a locally-based Tibetan enterprise, it has an inescapable responsibility to safeguard the health and well-being of the snowy plateau region. It will continue to take concrete actions to support the autonomous region in winning the battle against the epidemic at an early date.
