Around 4 p.m. on August 16, on the quiet streets of Shigatse City, epidemic prevention workers from Saga County were waiting to receive the shipment. The 4,080 boxes of influenza pills donated by Qizheng Tibetan Medicine were arriving nonstop from Lhasa City. There was no need for extra words—every wish was being fulfilled through actions taken to the best of their ability. After a swift handover, this batch of donated influenza pills will be transported by staff members to Saga County, contributing Tibetan medicine’s strength to curb the sharp rise in COVID-19 cases in Shigatse.
On the evening of August 15, the request to donate the influenza pills—prescribed in the “Tibet Autonomous Region COVID-19 Tibetan Medicine Prevention and Treatment Protocols (Versions 1, 2, and 3)” —to Shigatse was fulfilled. Early on the morning of August 16, the Lhasa production workshop of Qizheng Tibetan Medicine urgently prepared the shipment. Meanwhile, the Qizheng Tibetan Medicine staff responsible for transportation swiftly obtained vehicle permits and immediately began loading the goods.
At 11:35 on August 16, the Qizheng Tibetan Medicine vehicle, loaded with 17 boxes of influenza pills, sped off toward Shigatse City without a moment’s delay.
The 17 boxes of Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Influenza Pills will be distributed to relevant prevention and control sites in Saga County and Shigatse City. At this critical juncture in Tibet’s fight against the epidemic, swift and decisive action is the heartfelt, genuine commitment of Tibetan medicine practitioners to safeguard the health and well-being of the people.
