Qizheng Tibetan Medicine and its subsidiaries have once again been recognized as “National High-Tech Enterprises.”

Recently, the Office of the Leading Group for the Identification and Management of National High-Tech Enterprises issued an announcement stating that Qizheng Tibetan Medicine and its subsidiary, Gansu Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Co., Ltd., have been recognized as National High-Tech Enterprises for the sixth time. This honor not only recognizes Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s achievements in areas such as independent intellectual property rights, high-tech products, R&D investment, and the ability to commercialize scientific and technological innovations, but also acknowledges the company’s longstanding commitment to leveraging technological innovation to promote the inheritance of Tibetan medicine and drive industrial upgrading.
Publicly available information shows that the validity period for high-tech enterprise certification is three years. Another subsidiary of Qizheng Tibetan Medicine, Tibet Tibetan Medicine Group Co., Ltd., was also recognized as a high-tech enterprise in 2021.
Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has always been committed to leveraging modern innovative technologies to develop new Tibetan medicines, leading the upgrading of the traditional Tibetan medicine industry and safeguarding the health of contemporary people. Qizheng Tibetan Medicine is among the first batch of “Innovative Enterprises” designated by the state, a national-level high-tech enterprise, a key high-tech enterprise under the National Torch Program, and a national demonstration enterprise for technological innovation. It boasts a national-level enterprise technology center as well as two national-local joint engineering laboratories—one specializing in topical Tibetan medicinal preparations and the other in solid Tibetan medicinal formulations. Over the years, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has successively become a key implementation unit for the National “11th Five-Year Plan” Science and Technology Support Program, a major implementation unit for the National “12th Five-Year Plan” Science and Technology Special Project, and the lead unit for the key special project on “Modernization Research of Traditional Chinese Medicine” under the Ministry of Science and Technology’s “13th Five-Year Plan.”
In recent years, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has continuously increased its investment in scientific research, and its capacity for technological innovation has steadily improved. In 2022, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine ranked 31st on the “Top 50 Chinese Traditional Chinese Medicine R&D Strength List” released at the High-Quality Development Conference of the Greater Health Industry and the 7th China Pharmaceutical R&D Innovation Summit (PDI). In 2023, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine was listed on the “Top 20 Chinese Herbal Medicine Enterprises with the Greatest International Influence” and received the “Engineering and Technology Talent Contribution Award” from the China International Science and Technology Exchange Foundation.
The national policy for recognizing “High-Tech Enterprises” aims to guide enterprises in adjusting their industrial structures and pursuing a development path characterized by independent innovation and continuous innovation. This policy seeks to ignite enterprises’ enthusiasm for independent innovation and enhance their capacity for scientific and technological advancement. In the future, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine will place even greater emphasis on enhancing its independent innovation capabilities and protecting intellectual property rights. It will continue to increase investment in scientific research, attach great importance to cultivating its talent pool, and steadily move forward toward higher goals.
