On December 28, the National Healthcare Security Administration and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security released the "National Basic Medical Insurance, Work Injury Insurance, and Maternity Insurance Drug List (2020)," which will officially take effect on March 1 next year. Qizheng Tibetan Medicine (002287)’s exclusive products, Honghua Ruyi Pills and Ruyi Zhenbao Tablets, have been included in the National Medical Insurance Catalog for the first time following medical insurance negotiations. As of now, a total of 19 products from Qizheng Tibetan Medicine have been incorporated into this catalog.
The Tibetan name for Honghua Ruyi Wan is “Guge Sangpei.” It is an exclusive product of Qizheng Tibetan Medicine, derived from time-tested Tibetan medical prescriptions and prepared using highland medicinal herbs. This formulation has the effects of dispelling wind and relieving pain, as well as regulating menstrual blood flow. Clinically, it is primarily used to treat pelvic inflammatory disease, post-pelvic-inflammatory-disease sequelae—chronic pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, menstrual disorders, knee osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other related conditions. Clinical study results on its use for treating pelvic inflammatory disease and its post-disease sequelae were published in international journals in 2017 and 2020, respectively. Honghua Ruyi Wan has been recommended by authoritative guidelines such as the “Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (Revised 2019)” issued by the Infectious Diseases Collaborative Group of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and the “Clinical Use Guidelines for Ethnic Minority Medicines (2019 Edition)” issued by the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The Tibetan name for Ruyi Zhenbao Tablets is “Sangpei Nubu.” This exclusive formulation by Qizheng Tibetan Medicine is based on a time-tested prescription from Tibetan medical classics, specifically drawn from the book “Pandé Qiong Nai,” compiled in the 17th century by the Tibetan physician Situ Chökyi Jungnai. With over 300 years of practical application, it has become a classic Tibetan medicine for treating white-pulse disorders in Tibetan medicine. Ruyi Zhenbao Tablets are prepared from 30 pure Tibetan medicinal herbs and feature rapid absorption, stable quality, and convenient administration. These tablets possess anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects and promote functional recovery. Clinically, they are used in the treatment of chronic diseases of the musculoskeletal system as well as neurological rehabilitation-related conditions. In 2018, they were included in the “Clinical Medication Guidelines for Ethnic Minority Medicines” published by the Chinese Society for Ethnomedicine. In 2019, they were incorporated into the National Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology’s special project on the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, under the project title “Demonstration Development Study on the Treatment of White-Pulse Disorders—A Major Tibetan Disease—Using the Classic Tibetan Formulation Ruyi Zhenbao Tablets and White-Pulse Ointment.” This initiative further enhances the scientific rigor and advanced nature of these classic Tibetan formulations, thereby maximizing the clinical value of ethnic medicines.
