Recently, in the first China Listed Companies Environmental Information Assessment Report jointly released by the China Environmental News Workers Association under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the China International Youth Exchange Center of the Communist Youth League Central Committee, our company scored 75.753 points and ranked among the top 20 listed companies in the first and second industries in terms of environmental information disclosure. Among Shenzhen-listed companies, we ranked fourth.
According to reports, the study evaluated 617 listed companies on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges across China’s 31 provincial-level administrative regions, focusing on aspects such as environmental management, environmental awareness and corporate culture, environmental performance, and best environmental practices. The report shows that, overall, Chinese listed companies today demonstrate a strong awareness of environmental protection in both their business operations and management, and are able to incorporate environmental protection considerations into their corporate culture. Among these companies, 426 belong to the primary and secondary industries listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges, with an average score of 40.33. Of these companies, 78 scored above 60 points, accounting for 18.31% of the total number of companies surveyed.
In the future, to encourage Chinese listed companies to better fulfill their environmental responsibilities and to inspire businesses at large to enhance their awareness of environmental accountability, the organizers will continue to carry out this initiative. The goal is to promote third-party certification of corporate environmental responsibility reports, guide and urge companies to adhere to internationally recognized metrics, improve the quality of environmental responsibility disclosures, and thereby better fulfill their environmental obligations.
Receiving this honor is both a recognition and encouragement of our company’s efforts in resource conservation and environmental management. At the same time, by continuously disclosing environmental information, we are helping our company to embrace oversight from the public and investors, further enhancing our internal mechanisms for fulfilling corporate environmental responsibilities, and effectively implementing the spirit of accelerating ecological civilization construction as outlined at the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee—thus continually contributing to the harmonious and sustainable development of both our enterprise and society.
