From June 26 to 28, the 2015 Annual Conference of the Guiyang International Forum on Ecological Civilization was held in Guiyang. Since its establishment, the company has consistently emphasized harmonious coexistence with nature, the environment, and local communities throughout its 20-year development journey. It has voluntarily and consciously practiced corporate social responsibility in areas such as innovative development, resource conservation, employee growth, and cultural heritage preservation, making significant and valuable explorations in fulfilling social responsibilities among small and medium-sized enterprises in China’s local regions. A key characteristic of traditional Chinese medicine is the use of plant-based medicinal materials, and the industry is predominantly located in central and western China. Throughout its development, the company has actively sought rigorous, objective, and effective pathways for collaborative development across the upstream and downstream sectors. It places great emphasis on leveraging modern medical research to promote the modernization and marketization of traditional Chinese medicine, prioritizing the protective and sustainable development of natural resources and the establishment of standardized practices across the entire value chain of authentic medicinal materials. The company also focuses on cultivating talent in ethnic minority regions, fostering a sense of identity and passing down ethnic cultures, thereby building a business ecosystem that is oriented toward long-term benefits. This approach helps enhance and improve the product quality and business capabilities of each partner along the upstream and downstream supply chains, driving innovation and modernization within the traditional Chinese medicine industry and promoting shared progress with ethnic minority regions in western China.
It is reported that the Guiyang International Forum on Ecological Civilization, approved by the central authorities, is China’s only national-level, internationally renowned high-end summit dedicated to the theme of ecological civilization. Since the inaugural forum was held in 2009, this year marks the successful hosting of its seventh session. The 2015 forum was themed “Toward a New Era of Ecological Civilization—New Agenda, New Normal, New Actions.” During the three-day event, elites from government, industry, academia, and media sectors around the world, as well as civil society representatives, participated in more than 30 sub-forums and special thematic activities, jointly discussing new agendas and actions for global ecological civilization under the new normal and reaching broad consensus.
