On the 7th, the “Getting Close to Modern Tibetan Medicine” 2016 Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Media Visit event was held at the Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Manufacturing Center located in Yuzhong County, Gansu Province. Several domestic media outlets visited Qizheng Tibetan Medicine and, through on-site visits and discussions, offered valuable suggestions and insights to support Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s innovation and technological advancement.
As a traditional ethnic medicine enterprise rooted in the western region, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has positioned itself over the years as the “modern inheritor of millennia-old Tibetan medicine.” Modern inheritance is a guiding principle running through Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s sustainable development and also represents one of the core genes that define its role as a leading modern Tibetan medicine enterprise. At the same time, as it transitions from tradition to modernity, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine is committed to innovation across multiple dimensions—including manufacturing processes, dosage forms, medical research and development, and brand marketing—exploring how the ethnic medicine industry can leverage technological innovation to successfully navigate the modern market.

During this event, media delegations visited the Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Yuzhong Manufacturing Center and the Gannan Foge Manufacturing Center, toured the Tibetan Medicine Culture Exhibition Hall, participated in themed symposiums and exchanges, and visited the Tibetan Medicine Research Institute. They gained firsthand insights into Tibetan culture, the growing environments of Tibetan medicinal herbs, and the deep-rooted connections between Tibetan medicine and traditional culture.
It is understood that Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has established a specialized marketing system driven by both “brand leadership and academic support,” featuring a three-pronged approach involving large hospitals, retail outlets, and primary-care medical facilities. The company has also built the largest domestically-owned sales team dedicated to Tibetan medicine. In 2015, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine achieved an operating revenue of 995 million yuan, representing a 4.70% increase over the same period last year. Currently, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine operates four GMP-certified factories in Gansu and Tibet. All of the company’s production lines and product varieties have been certified under the new GMP standards. Its manufactured dosage forms include patches, rubber plasters, ointments, pills, granules, powders, tablets, and capsules.
