The second "CSR China Education Award" was announced in Beijing on September 27. Tibet Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Co., Ltd. was awarded the only official prize in China's education sector—the "CSR CHINA Model Award." It is reported that this is the first time a domestic enterprise has received this prestigious award; the other four winning companies were all multinational corporations.
For over 20 years, as a traditional ethnic medicine enterprise deeply rooted in the Tibetan region, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has not only fostered industrial talent for ethnic minority areas through its own development but has also cultivated talent for society in various ways—such as establishing Tibetan medical schools, sponsoring cultural institutes, supporting Hope Primary Schools, and setting up scholarships and grants. Lei Jufang, Chairperson of the company, stated: “We hope that Qizheng will become not just a business, but a true school for nurturing talent.”
It is reported that the CSR China Education Award, initiated jointly by several organizations under the guidance of the School Department of the Communist Youth League Central Committee and with the support of relevant authorities such as the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is the only official award in China’s education sector. Held every two years, it aims to encourage and recognize outstanding CSR projects that support the development of Chinese education, as well as enterprises, organizations, and individuals that have made remarkable contributions to the field of CSR[1] education.
