The national-level enterprise technology center of Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has broken ground in the Liuwu New Area of Lhasa.

On March 23, the national-level enterprise technology center of Qizheng Tibetan Medicine, located in the Liuwu New Area of Lhasa, broke ground. This marks the beginning of a new stage in the technological innovation capabilities of the Tibetan medicine industry.
In 1995, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine took root in the snowy plateau and devoted itself to the Brightness Initiative. Over the past fifteen years in Tibet, Qizheng has taken inheritance and innovation as its development cornerstone, carrying out extensive work in the modernization of Tibetan medicine and technological innovation, and has accumulated a systematic and robust capacity for professional innovation. Qizheng Tibetan Medicine holds 22 domestic patents, has been awarded the Second Prize for National Scientific and Technological Progress, and has won the International Invention Gold Award. It has become a national high-tech enterprise, been listed among nationally confidential medicinal products, and achieved numerous breakthroughs that marked new milestones in the history of Tibetan medicine technology. In 2006, as the sole Tibetan medicine enterprise, Qizheng was selected as one of the "first batch of national pilot innovative enterprises." That same year, it was jointly recognized by five national ministries and commissions—including the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology—as a national-level Enterprise Technology Center. In January 2008, Qizheng was approved to lead the implementation of the "National Eleventh Five-Year Plan Key Science and Technology Support Project"—the "Research on Key Technologies for the Modernization of Tibetan Medicine." On July 28, 2008, after a two-year assessment period, Qizheng was included in the first group of "National Innovative Enterprises." Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s mature industrial innovation capabilities have received national recognition on multiple occasions.
Under the guidance of pragmatic action goals and a systematic development strategy, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine will leverage the platform of the national-level Tibetan medicine enterprise technology center to establish a research hub for integrated innovation in the Tibetan medicine industry and innovative marketing models. Relying on both inheritance and innovation, we will develop and promote key technologies for the Tibetan medicine industry, break through bottlenecks hindering its growth, and comprehensively enhance the industry’s core competitiveness.
