　　Lei Jufang, a native of Lintao, Gansu Province, is the Chairperson of Tibet Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Co., Ltd. and also serves as the Vice President of the China Association for Promoting Public Welfare. In 2001, she was named one of the "Chinese Women" of the Era and received the 6th National Top Ten Poverty Alleviation Award. In March 2002, she was elected as one of the first "Chinese Women" of the Era—individuals with significant influence both at home and abroad. Lei Jufang graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1977 and holds the title of Senior Engineer. Her current investments span across various regions of Tibet.

　　In the early 1990s, Lei Jufang founded Qizheng Tibetan Medicine. Now well into her “mandate age,” she continues to pursue her goals tirelessly and works diligently, composing a heartwarming ode to Western entrepreneurs. She creates wealth yet never clings to it; in her view, wealth belongs not only to society but also to the masses. She not only speaks this way but acts accordingly as well. She regards honest tax compliance and the continuous improvement of her employees’ working and living standards as the very essence of her enterprise, and her gratitude toward the nation and society has never waned for a moment. Over the past decade and more, her company—Qizheng Tibetan Medicine—has grown into an industry leader. With her commitment to “altruism,” she has written a brilliant chapter in her life. Yet she remains as unassuming as ever, wearing simple clothes and shoes, savoring plain tea and humble meals, unchanged by the rustic simplicity bestowed upon her by the Loess Plateau. Throughout her journey marked by humility and modesty, some say Lei Jufang has created a legend in Tibetan medicine. But given that Tibetan medicine itself carries millennia-old wisdom, its legendary heritage is not merely waiting for someone else to continue writing its story—it’s being safeguarded by her through practical enterprise, preserving its spiritual values.

　　It is precisely her commitment to benefiting others and her dedicated, inquisitive spirit that have drawn Lei Jufang closer to the Tibetan medical culture, which is rooted in the principle of benefiting all sentient beings. She has conducted over a hundred in-depth field investigations and studies across the Tibetan regions of five provinces (and autonomous regions), humbly seeking guidance from master practitioners of Tibetan medicine with sincere respect, and thus founded Qizheng Tibetan Medicine.

　　Led by Lei Jufang, a team of Tibetan and Han Chinese research experts has successfully developed Tibetan medicines. Guided by the principle of integrating traditional culture with modern business concepts and leveraging resource advantages through the integration of high technology, this initiative fully harnesses the unique historical value of Tibetan medical culture.

　　Shine a light on poverty alleviation through altruistic acts.

　　In 1995, the China Guangcai Program sent a delegation of Chinese private enterprises to Tibet. Lei Jufang was deeply moved by the Guangcai Program’s philosophy of “balancing profit with public interest,” believing that this approach would differ from the emergency aid projects that merely provided “blood transfusions.” Instead, it would tap into the source of social wealth in impoverished regions and bring about lasting improvements in their conditions. Led by Lei Jufang, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine joined the Guangcai Program. Sixteen years later, the Guangcai Program has firmly established itself in Tibet, and Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s projects have been successfully operating ever since.

　　Led by Lei Jufang, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has leveraged its continuously accumulated industrial momentum and solid foundation to become a leading enterprise in the Tibetan medicine sector, thereby driving the development of Tibet’s core pillar industries. Today, benefiting from its strengths in both heritage preservation and independent innovation, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine is spearheading industrial upgrades across the entire value chain—integrating cultivation, R&D, production, and sales into a seamless operation. Focusing on key therapeutic areas, specialized treatment fields, and health & wellness sectors, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine employs modern manufacturing techniques along with highly active natural ingredients and high-altitude herbal plants to develop a series of products that are popular among the public and align with mainstream health and wellness trends. On August 28, 2009, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine made its initial public offering of A-shares and was officially listed for trading on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Qizheng Tibetan Medicine was ranked 66th among China’s top 100 tax-paying private enterprises. Through the development of the Tibetan medicine industry, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has achieved the fundamental goal of poverty alleviation and rural development through its “Guangcai” initiative.

　　For over a decade, Lei Jufang has been actively engaged in the Tibetan medicine sector through the Guangcai Initiative. Steadfastly committed to her altruistic mission, she has cumulatively invested more than 65 million yuan over the years in public welfare endeavors such as healthcare, education, poverty alleviation, and disaster relief in Tibetan areas. In 2007, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine established a special fund under the China Guangcai Foundation, systematically channeling resources into public welfare initiatives.

　　Fusing ethnic solidarity through altruistic actions.

　　Lei Jufang said, “Cultivating talent is both a responsibility and an obligation. Only by nurturing talented individuals do I truly feel that I’ve made a meaningful contribution to the western region. These children are now growing up at Qizheng Tibetan Medicine; if in the future they can inspire a new generation of talents to become leaders in western enterprises, I’m confident they’ll take great pride in their accomplishments.” With her altruistic efforts to nurture others, Lei Jufang has written one touching story after another.

　　In the process of founding enterprises in Gansu and Tibet, Lei Jufang actively recruited Tibetan college and graduate students from well-known domestic institutions, continuously enhancing the development of multi-ethnic, versatile talents from Tibetan, Han, Hui, and Monpa communities, thereby nurturing a group of local core employees. In the 2008 national campaign to build learning organizations and strive to become knowledge-based workers, Bianba Ciren, an employee at the Nyingchi Manufacturing Center of Qizheng Tibetan Medicine, was awarded the title of Outstanding Knowledge-Based Worker nationwide. That same year, when Qizheng Tibetan Medicine invested in and built a factory in Nyingchi, Tibet, it hired several local ethnic minority people with disabilities, helping to ease employment tensions in the local government. Thanks to their stable incomes at Qizheng Tibetan Medicine, these disabled employees were given priority access to the staff apartments that Qizheng Tibetan Medicine began constructing in Nyingchi, Tibet, in 2006. Today, these formerly disabled employees have become the primary breadwinners for their families. The establishment of Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s “Guangcai” project has enabled them to regain their dignity and live with purpose.
