Safeguarding the Foundation of Life, New Quality Drives the Future
Health is the foundation of life, affecting the quality of everyone’s existence. It is both the source and the guarantee for individuals to pursue happiness and realize their life’s value—a timeless human aspiration.
Currently, as the degree of aging continues to deepen and chronic diseases are becoming increasingly prevalent among younger populations, the incidence of chronic diseases is rising year by year. Coupled with a growing nationwide awareness of health, people’s demand for health is becoming ever more urgent.
Meeting people’s needs and creating social value are the very foundation of a company’s existence. Tibetan medicine, distinct from both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, is a unique medical system that boasts clear advantages and remarkable efficacy in certain diseases and therapeutic areas. It offers patients an alternative treatment option beyond conventional Chinese and Western medicine, bringing them hope for healing and recovery.
Although multiple factors—such as geography and culture—have posed significant challenges to Tibetan medicine’s journey beyond the plateau, into inland China, and ultimately onto the global stage, for nearly three decades, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has remained steadfastly committed to exploration and progress, dedicated to bringing high-quality Tibetan medicines to a broad patient population. Leveraging core strategies such as “medical translation” and “technological innovation,” we are actively promoting the modernization of Tibetan medicine. By building bridges between traditional Tibetan medicine and both Chinese and Western medical practices, we strive to clearly articulate and explain Tibetan medicine in a way that enables more Chinese and Western physicians to better integrate it into their clinical practice, thereby benefiting an even greater number of patients.
Take medical translation as an example. In 2023, Qizheng successfully concluded the national key R&D program project it had undertaken—“Demonstration Development Study on the Use of Classic Tibetan Medicines Ruyi Zhenbao Tablets and Bai Mai Ointment for the Treatment of Bai Mai Disease, a Major Tibetan Medical Condition.” The project’s high-quality completion demonstrated the clinical value of Ruyi Zhenbao Tablets and Bai Mai Ointment in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke and diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Moreover, the company’s “Clinical Study on the Use of Bai Mai Ointment for Lumbar Disc Herniation” confirmed the clinical efficacy of Bai Mai Ointment in improving pain scores measured by the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score. This represents the first high-level clinical research evidence ever presented on the clinical application of ethnic medicines in orthopedics and traumatology. Additionally, the company’s “Study on the Efficacy and Safety of Qingpeng Ointment for the Treatment of Gouty Arthritis” demonstrated the clinical effectiveness and medication safety of Qingpeng Ointment in treating acute gout attacks... These studies have provided scientific evidence to support the inclusion of Tibetan medicines in consensus guidelines for disease treatment, thereby promoting their wider clinical adoption.
Currently, the Party and the state have proposed using new-quality productivity to drive high-quality development. This calls for enterprises not only to achieve higher technological levels, better quality, and greater efficiency, but also to become more sustainable.
Qizheng Tibetan Medicine takes “Promoting Health Wisdom and Creating Life Value” as its mission and “Becoming a world-class, sustainably developed enterprise spanning the entire Tibetan medicine industry chain” as its vision. It will continue to deepen its expertise in the field of Tibetan medicine, accelerate the cultivation of new forms of productive forces within the company, and drive the modernization and internationalization of Tibetan medicine. In doing so, it will provide more high-quality, safe, and effective Tibetan medicine products to an increasing number of patients, making greater contributions to the cause of human health.
