Inheriting Wisdom, Safeguarding Life: Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary

In 1995, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine became one of the first enterprises to participate in the “Guangcai Science and Technology Aid-Tibet” initiative. It established a pharmaceutical factory in Linzhi, Tibet, firmly rooting itself in the region and dedicating itself to the preservation and innovation of traditional Tibetan medicine. Over the past three decades, Qizheng has pioneered a successful model for transforming millennia-old Tibetan medicinal practices into products suited for the modern market, thereby forging its own core competitive advantages and embarking on a new path of modern development. On December 25, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine held a 30th-anniversary celebration in Linzhi, Tibet. Leaders from the Linzhi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the Health Commission of the Tibet Autonomous Region, and the Tibet Autonomous Region Tibetan Hospital, along with experts and scholars in the field of Tibetan medicine and representatives from industry associations, gathered together to reflect on Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s 30-year journey of steadfast commitment and resilient growth in the snowy plateau, and to jointly chart a blueprint for the modernization of the Tibetan medicine industry.
The Party Committee and the government of the Tibet Autonomous Region attach great importance to the development of the Tibetan medicine industry and have included it as one of Tibet’s nine key specialty industries. In her speech, Yu Zhen, a member of the Standing Committee of the Linzhi Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor, praised Qizheng Tibetan Medicine for its corporate responsibility. She stated that over the past three decades, as a key enterprise in Linzhi City, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has, guided by its corporate culture of “doing good for others and pursuing righteous paths and legitimate businesses,” continuously promoted industrial agglomeration by adjusting industrial structures, optimizing industrial layouts, driving technological innovation, implementing green standards, and strengthening industry regulation—thereby injecting strong vitality into Linzhi’s economic and social development.
In his speech, Liu Kai, Chairman of Qizheng Tibetan Medicine, outlined the company’s mission and its vision for the future. He emphasized that “enabling the sick to regain health, helping the healthy live longer, and allowing the long-lived to enjoy a life of ease and freedom” is the historical responsibility of those who carry forward Tibetan medicine. Building a sustainable business model and becoming a leading, fully integrated Tibetan medicine enterprise dedicated to enduring development—this is Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s vision for the future.
