— Two “National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratories” simultaneously received plaques from the National Development and Reform Commission.
On the afternoon of November 16, 2009, the National Development and Reform Commission solemnly held a ceremony at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center to recognize and award certificates for the construction of national innovation capabilities and national informatization pilot projects. Qizheng Tibetan Medicine was invited to attend the event and simultaneously received two plaques awarded by the NDRC: the “National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Solid Dosage Forms of Tibetan Medicine” and the “National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Topical Preparations of Tibetan Medicine.”
The projects honored this time include 26 national-local joint engineering research centers, 18 national-local joint engineering laboratories, 83 newly recognized national enterprise technology centers in the 16th batch, 51 newly established national engineering laboratories, and 106 national pilot projects for informationization. The solemn holding of this awarding and recognition ceremony aims to publicize and summarize China’s achievements in enhancing independent innovation capabilities, promoting structural adjustments in key industries, and fostering technological progress. It also showcases the guiding principles and relevant measures for addressing the financial crisis, boosting independent innovation, and upgrading and restructuring key industries over the coming period, thereby inspiring and guiding all sectors to further improve their work.
Qizheng Tibetan Medicine and its subsidiaries have simultaneously been awarded licenses for two laboratories—a distinction that makes them the only company to receive such recognition in this licensing event, thus drawing considerable attention. Relying on years of experience in Tibetan medicine formulation innovation and industrial-scale production of topical formulations, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has pioneered the establishment of China’s first engineering laboratory dedicated to solid and topical Tibetan medicine preparations. This laboratory aims to overcome key common technical challenges hindering the industrial development of solid and topical Tibetan medicine formulations. The construction of these two laboratories will not only strengthen Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s own capacity for independent innovation but also provide robust technical support for the industrialization and sustained innovative development of novel topical Tibetan medicines in China, serving as a model and leader within the industry and fostering a leapfrog development of the Tibetan medicine sector.
