Yushu Rescue—We’re Doing Our Best, Part 3
Clothes are being delivered to Lanzhou to aid the injured, and the second rescue team is fully prepared and standing by.
On April 18, the company’s rescue team, having successfully completed the first-phase mission, withdrew from Yushu and arrived in Lanzhou. On the 19th, before even having time to fully make up for their sleep deprivation from the previous days, the team members spontaneously set out to visit the injured people from the disaster area who had been transferred to Lanzhou for treatment. Upon learning that most of these injured individuals urgently needed clean, personal clothing, they suggested to the company that it donate clothes to the 198 injured victims. That same day, the company purchased over 11,000 yuan worth of intimate apparel—including pajamas, underwear, and socks—and delivered these items to nine hospitals where the disaster-area injured were being treated. On behalf of all Qizheng employees, they distributed the clothing personally to each injured victim and some accompanying family members.
While distributing personal clothing to adult injured individuals, the attentive team members also carefully verified the gender, age, and number of children receiving treatment. On the 20th, they purchased essential items such as well-fitting pajamas, underwear, shoes, and diapers for the children, thereby promptly addressing the urgent needs of the injured.
The elderly man gently touched his forehead upon receiving the clothing; the little child’s clear eyes sparkled with joy; the injured rescue soldier offered a solemn military salute; and the four-year-old child innocently clasped his hands together in gratitude... Almost every gift carried its own unique touch of emotion, deeply moving the team members. They said that what the company had given was heartfelt love—and what they’d truly received was a heart-to-heart exchange of kindness that transcended all boundaries. They added that they felt truly grateful to have been able to represent the company in participating in such a relief effort. May this pure kindness flow freely, washing away pain and elevating our spirits!
Throughout the distribution process, the team members also established information channels with various hospital departments, enabling them to share updates and follow up on cases, thus rallying support to provide the necessary assistance to the injured. Thinking of others' urgent needs and stepping in to help those in distress—thank you, Qizheng people, for your genuine kindness.
Today, the company has begun collecting urgently needed daily necessities for the disaster-stricken areas and is organizing a rescue team composed of volunteers from Qizheng in Linzhi, Lhasa, and Lanzhou. The team is scheduled to head back to Yushu again on the evening of the 23rd to carry out on-site rescue operations and distribute supplies. Let’s send our sincerest wishes to our team members and join forces to pay close attention to the relief efforts in Yushu.
May Yushu soon regain peace and tranquility.
