On the evening of September 2, the "10th China Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs, Investors, and Scientists Conference & Exhibition Celebrating 40 Years of Reform and Opening-up: Achievements in the Pharmaceutical Industry" currently underway in Beijing reached its climax—the grand award ceremony honoring “Outstanding Figures in the Pharmaceutical Industry over the Past 40 Years of Reform and Opening-up” was held. Jointly initiated by 11 leading industry organizations—including the China Association for Pharmaceutical Enterprise Management, the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the China Non-prescription Drug Association, the China Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry Association, and the China Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs Association—more than 200 entrepreneurs were nominated, and ultimately 40 were selected. Ms. Lei Jufang, Chairwoman of Qizheng Tibetan Medicine, received this prestigious honor for “pioneering a kingdom of Tibetan medicine through her spirit of innovation.” Her boldness and perseverance over more than two decades in driving the modernization of the Tibetan medicine industry have earned her widespread recognition and respect within the industry!
It is understood that this event aims to review the major events and influential figures that have shaped the pharmaceutical industry over the past four decades of reform and opening-up, and to celebrate the tremendous changes that have taken place in the pharmaceutical sector during this period. The selection process combines online public voting with a review conducted by an offline panel of experts. All nominees are senior professionals from China’s pharmaceutical industry who, over the past 40 years of reform and opening-up, have “reflected the era’s characteristics of reform and opening-up, emancipation of mind, seeking truth from facts, and striving for innovation, and have had a significant impact on the pharmaceutical industry.”
Ms. Lei Jufang is one of the rare female entrepreneurs who have chosen to build their careers on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, where the average altitude exceeds 4,000 meters. For 25 years, she has tirelessly advocated for the development of ethnic medicines, making every effort to promote Tibetan medicine. With her extraordinary wisdom, courage, and resilience, she has helped Tibetan medicine carve out a significant place in China’s pharmaceutical market, bringing benefits to hundreds of millions of consumers across mainland China.
