From July 27 to 28, 2010, the first-phase training for Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s project management—titled “Comprehensively Enhancing Organizational Operational Capabilities—Practical Training on Enterprise Project-Based Management”—was held at the Lanzhou Landa Cuiying Grand Hotel. More than 40 colleagues from various functional departments of the company, whose daily work involves project management tasks, participated in this training.
Before the formal training began, General Manager Liu Kailie exchanged views with the participants about the objectives of this training session. Mr. Liu once again emphasized the company’s results-oriented performance requirements. At the mid-term review stage, he urged management-level staff to focus more on “what has been achieved” rather than merely reflecting on “what has been done.” He stressed that management should adopt a “start with the end in mind” approach to enhance both efficiency and effectiveness. This training session was specifically designed to address the company’s room for improvement in cross-departmental collaboration projects—precisely one of the initiatives aimed at fostering a results-oriented culture. Mr. Liu encouraged everyone to deepen their understanding of project management knowledge, strive to improve management efficiency, and seek greater effectiveness and tangible results from their daily work.
We are honored to have Mr. Ao Jianqiang, a PMI-certified PMP project management expert from the Project Management Institute in the United States, as the instructor for this training session. The training covers a wide range of topics, including project initiation, planning, risk management, execution and control, project closure, and enterprise-wide project management. Throughout the training, the instructor drew on case studies from key projects currently being implemented within our company. Through hands-on exercises and interactive sessions, participants achieved the learning objectives of mastering project management concepts, tools, and methodologies. With clear, concise, and vivid explanations, the instructor enabled attendees to gain a more systematic understanding of the project management knowledge framework as well as modern project management theories and techniques.
