The second session of the Board of Directors of the China Guangcai Cause Foundation was held in Beijing on May 29. Ms. Lei Jufang, Chairwoman of our company, was appointed as a member of the new board of directors. During the meeting, Du Qinglin, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, warmly met with the attendees and posed for a group photo. Quan Zhezhu, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and First Vice Chairman, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
The China Guangcai Program Foundation was established in 2005. It is a nationwide public fundraising foundation under the supervision of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee. Its primary focus is to serve and promote the Guangcai Program, and it is a social organization dedicated to serving public welfare causes and supporting poverty alleviation and development.
In 2007, our company established the “Tibetan Cultural Preservation and Heritage Special Fund” under the China Guangcai Program Foundation, with the aim of preserving and promoting traditional ethnic cultures and fostering the prosperity of ethnic economies. In 2011, the “Tibetan Cultural Preservation and Heritage Special Fund” implemented 19 public welfare projects, with total donations amounting to 4.455 million yuan. Additionally, pharmaceuticals and supplies worth 749,000 yuan were donated, with a particular focus on supporting the implementation of Tibetan medicine cultural preservation and education development projects as well as providing emergency assistance in response to unforeseen events. In the same year, members of our company’s management team made additional contributions totaling 4.85375 million yuan to this special fund, thereby continuing to support the development of traditional Tibetan medicine education, the use of traditional Tibetan medical practices, and the preservation and protection of Tibetan culture.
