On the evening of August 18, employees at the Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Lhasa Yutuo factory, who were confined to the premises and unable to go home after work, quickly assembled to rapidly prepare influenza pills and soup-promoting granules—enough medicine for 12,780 people—to support the seven counties and districts in Ali.
The Ali region, with an average elevation of 4,500 meters, is known as the "no-go zone within the no-go zones." Under the current pandemic situation, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine is especially concerned about the safety and well-being of the local people.
After the flu pills donated to Saga County were quickly distributed, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine immediately mobilized its staff to prepare supplies and rushed them overnight to Gongga Airport, where they awaited dispatch to Ali.
Early on August 19, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s epidemic prevention medicines arrived in Ali. In the afternoon, they were immediately distributed to the seven counties and districts and put into use on the front lines of epidemic prevention.
Hearing the heartfelt gratitude from the donation-receiving regions—“We’ve been waiting for your life-saving medicine”—filled the employees of Qizheng Tibetan Medicine with genuine appreciation. The fact that Qizheng Tibetan Medicine can step up and take action when people’s health needs protection is precisely what gives Tibetan medicine practitioners their confidence and sense of value.
On the afternoon of August 19, Qizheng employees once again headed to the streets of Lhasa, delivering flu tablets to each of the 14 quarantine and protection stations.
In Tibet’s fight against the epidemic, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine will continue its efforts.
