Linzhi Yutuo Tibetan Medicine Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Linzhi Yutuo Company) is a controlling subsidiary of Tibet Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Co., Ltd., established in September 2003. Linzhi Yutuo Company is engaged in the production of traditional Tibetan medicines and has 28 product varieties, including Influenza Pills and Lung-Clearing and Cough-Relieving Pills. Among these, several over-the-counter medications have earned a good reputation since their launch on the market.
Linzhi Yutuo Company is located in the Linzhi region of southeastern Tibet, an area rich in Tibetan medicinal resources. The region boasts as many as 3,500 species of local medicinal herbs, most of which are rare and highly valuable—earning it the reputation of a “natural museum of biological resources.” According to the “Tibetan Herbal Medicine Compendium,” 80% of Tibet’s medicinal herbs originate from Linzhi, providing ample raw material guarantees for the development of the Tibetan medicine industry.
For many years, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has been exploring and tackling the technological bottlenecks inherent in traditional Tibetan medicine production. As a result, it has successfully developed advanced pharmaceutical technologies such as fully powdered automatic pill-making technology and low-temperature pulverization technology, thereby building up a systematic and specialized innovation capability in both R&D and manufacturing. Among these innovations, the pioneering film-coating process for oral Tibetan medicine formulations has transformed the traditional Tibetan medicine’s appearance—long characterized by large size, dark color, and coarse texture—that had persisted for thousands of years. Moreover, the continuous automatic core-forming technology has addressed the industry-wide challenges of inconsistent pill weights and difficult dissolution commonly encountered in Tibetan medicine pellets. Gradually, a complete set of process technologies has been established, effectively integrating cutting-edge pharmaceutical manufacturing techniques into the practical production of Tibetan medicine. This lays a solid foundation for the modernization of traditional Tibetan medicine and the establishment of green manufacturing processes for Tibetan proprietary medicines.
