On September 20, the 2019 Fintech and Green Development Summit, together with the 8th “Ecological Civilization—Alashan Dialogue,” was held in Bayanhot Town, Alashan League. Qizheng Tibetan Medicine was invited to attend the summit and deliver a keynote speech, thanks to its corporate philosophy of sustainable development, its business model that emphasizes environmental and social benefits, and its practical efforts to protect resources on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
The conference is hosted by the Securities Times, the Financial Office of the Autonomous Region, the Inner Mongolia Securities Regulatory Bureau, the Alxa League Administrative Office, and the Alxa Ecological Foundation. It is co-organized by the China Securities Industry Association, the China Fund Industry Association, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the Alxa League Financial Office, the Inner Mongolia Equity Trading Center, and the Alxa League Financial Development Co., Ltd. The event brings together over 200 experts from securities institutions and corporate representatives from across China. The conference’s theme revolves around financial technology and green development, and participants will jointly explore ways to promote economic and social development as well as ecological civilization building.
Feng Ping, Vice President and Board Secretary of Qizheng Tibetan Medicine, attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech titled “Protecting the Biodiversity of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Through Real Industry.” Feng Ping stated that during more than two decades of entrepreneurial development on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has come to realize that the long-term sustainability of a company hinges on pursuing a path of sustainable development. Qizheng regards sustainable development as the core of its corporate culture, voluntarily striving to maintain the harmonious coexistence of natural and social ecological resources and treating with sincerity and kindness the key resources that drive the company’s performance growth and future value. In terms of ecological protection, Qizheng actively coordinates plans and strategies for future-oriented resource conservation and sustainable use, conducts research and alternative studies on sustainable development at the source, continuously optimizes processes and formulations in the production stage to enhance the utilization rate of medicinal materials, and actively practices sustainable procurement throughout the supply chain.
To better fulfill its responsibility of protecting the natural ecosystem while promoting industrial development, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has made strenuous efforts. In 2019, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine became the sole corporate representative nationwide to undertake the Fourth National Survey of Chinese Medicinal Resources. The Qizheng Tibetan Medicine survey team visited 72 sample sites in Tibetan areas, with an average elevation of around 5,000 meters, traveled a total distance of 22,000 kilometers, and collected 3,600 specimens from 466 different locations. “Qizheng’s sustainable development practices not only reflect its commitment to social responsibility but have also driven steady performance growth for the company,” said Feng Ping.
Qizheng Tibetan Medicine has received high recognition from the organizers and participants for its contributions to biodiversity conservation on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
