Once upon a time, I, no longer young, began earnestly searching for the true meaning of life. The bustling city and weary footsteps had once caused me to lose myself.
Once upon a time, as I reached middle age, I began to doubt my own abilities. The heavy burdens of life and the constant hustle and bustle made me gradually forget what it felt like to be truly happy.
It is the loving embrace of “Qi Zheng” that gives me the courage to face life with a smile, even when confronted with fierce storms and torrential rain.
It was the baptism of “Qi Zheng” love that made me realize: the most beautiful scenery isn’t some dreamlike vision, but rather the touching stories already happening—or currently unfolding—right here by my side. It’s these stories that have brought me life’s greatest reward—the ability to savor the true taste of happiness.
As the saying goes, "The moon waxes and wanes, and people experience both fortune and misfortune in an instant." March 1st can be described as our family’s day of disaster. Our elderly father, who had been living in Lanzhou, relying on his mother for companionship after being separated from his children, accidentally fell and suddenly suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. The once-peaceful family was thrown into utter chaos. My mother, in her seventies, was utterly panicked; and I, who had never before faced such a situation, was completely at a loss. My younger sister was thousands of miles away, leaving me—the eldest daughter—in the family—to handle the daunting tasks of contacting the hospital and arranging a hospital room. Just when I felt most helpless, amid limited medical resources and a severe shortage of hospital beds, my colleagues stepped in and helped my father complete the admission procedures.
During the subsequent difficult period of treatment, my father’s condition kept fluctuating, and our family simply didn’t have enough hands to cope. My elderly mother needed constant reassurance, and I myself had to put aside half-finished work—so many problems were piling up that I was on the verge of a breakdown. Just then, the chairman’s words of concern arrived, along with the care and attention from senior executives, and the help and blessings from my colleagues... Love surged like an overwhelming tide, wave after wave washing over me. By my old father’s bedside, there was always the presence of “Qizheng” people. Each warm glance and every comforting word were undoubtedly the most precious medicine our family received during my father’s serious illness.
Those simple words—“Auntie, we’re all your children. Here’s our phone number—feel free to call us if you need anything”—touched the elderly mother’s heart so deeply that she burst into tears several times.
The words, “Just focus on taking good care of the elderly—don’t overthink it; we’re here for you. Let us know if you need anything,” really brought tears to my eyes, again and again.
It’s unfortunate that my elderly father suddenly fell ill, but I happen to be in Lanzhou, which gives me the chance to show him filial piety—and that makes me feel fortunate.
The sudden turn of events has brought numerous challenges to my family—truly unfortunate—but it’s also a source of happiness that we’ve received so much care and support from the “Qi Zheng” community.
If previously my gratitude toward “Qizheng” stemmed more from reason—after all, it was “Qizheng” that provided me with the stage to realize my life’s true worth—this time, my gratitude toward “Qizheng” comes from the heart. It’s “Qizheng” that has made my family feel doubly warm and cherished. Although I’m not naturally an emotional person—and though I’m not particularly gifted at putting words into writing—I still want to say it out loud: Thank you, “Qizheng.” It’s you who’ve allowed me to experience a life unlike any other; it’s you who’ve helped me rediscover the true meaning of life and let me hear the sweet blossoming of happiness.
Thank you, Qizheng!
Wishing you all the best, Qizheng!
Zaxi Deli, Qi Zheng!
