Gansu Province donates a batch of “Gansu Formulas,” Tibetan medicine prescriptions, to Belarus.

Recently, at the request of the Belarusian Ministry of Health, a batch of 15,120 bags of “Gansu Formula” Tibetan medicine—including such products as Chutang Granules and Influenza Pills—was dispatched from Lanzhou City and will soon be donated to Belarus. Reporters learned at the ceremony marking the departure of the donated medicines that, while safeguarding the health and well-being of the people in Gansu Province and providing support for China’s epidemic prevention efforts, Gansu Province has already donated multiple batches of “Gansu Formula” to Belarus. All of the “Gansu Formula” Tibetan medicine donated this time by Gansu Province is supplied by Gansu Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Co., Ltd.

The “Gansu Prescription” was clinically applied after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Based on clinical observation data collected by frontline anti-epidemic experts from the Gansu medical team aiding Hubei, it was first confirmed that Tibetan medicine Cuitang Granules, Influenza Pills, and Renqing Mangjue Capsules demonstrated significant therapeutic efficacy during the treatment of COVID-19 in Wuhan.

It is reported that on February 15, 2020, the Gansu Provincial Health Commission issued a notice titled “On Promoting the Use of a Series of Traditional Chinese Medicine Formulas for the Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19 Across the Province,” clearly listing a series of Tibetan medicine formulas specifically designed for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. Gansu is the third province—following Tibet and Qinghai—to promote Tibetan medicine formulas in the fight against COVID-19, making Tibetan medicine an important new force in the prevention and treatment of the disease. Among the Tibetan medicine-based prevention and treatment protocols released by Tibet, Qinghai, and Gansu provinces, several products from Qizheng Tibetan Medicine—including Influenza Pills, Lung-Clearing and Cough-Relieving Pills, Twelve-Flavor Yishoucao (Powder), Dasima Bao Pills, Renqing Mangjue Capsules, and Cuithang Granules—are included in the recommended medication guidelines.
