On the evening of August 25, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine released its 2022 semiannual report. In the first half of the year, the company achieved operating revenue of 896.9194 million yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.07%. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company, excluding non-recurring gains and losses, reached 246.1051 million yuan, up 4.11% year-on-year. Excluding the impact of non-recurring items, the company’s core business maintained steady growth.
Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s core business encompasses the research and development, production, and sale of Tibetan medicines, including topical pain-relief medications, oral Tibetan formulations, and traditional Chinese medicines.
The company continues to increase its support for R&D. In the first half of 2022, R&D investment reached 46.76 million yuan, representing a 1.53% increase over the same period last year. During the reporting period, the company steadily advanced research efforts in areas such as the development of new Tibetan medicines, modern interpretations of Tibetan medicine, secondary development of existing products, enhancement of quality standards, and sustainable resource management. The company’s key focus remains on clinical-value-based medical research, as well as studies on the distinctive Tibetan medical theories of “Yellow Water Disease” and “White Pulse Disease,” aiming to elucidate the pharmacological mechanisms underlying each product’s therapeutic indications and to strengthen the evidence base for evidence-based medicine. At the same time, the company is collaborating with domestic and international research institutions to conduct studies on the application of new technologies and materials, exploring scientific pathways for the modernization of its products and thereby meeting emerging market demands.
The company continues to advance and deepen its refined management practices. In the first half of 2022, guided by the strategic goal of “one axis, two wings, and three pillars,” the company leveraged its distinctive advantages in Tibetan medicine treatments, strengthened its position in the pain management field, and expanded into the areas of women’s and children’s health, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, respiratory disorders, and digestive health. It also promoted Tibetan medicinal bath therapies and explored new avenues for internet-based marketing in the greater health sector. Furthermore, the company has intensified its efforts to expand urban coverage and penetrate lower-tier markets, reinforced organizational development, and driven growth through academic excellence and brand leadership. As a result, the company has continuously broadened and enhanced its brand influence, steadily improved operational quality, ensured sustainable business development, and achieved steady growth in performance.
The report indicates that in early August, an unexpected COVID-19 outbreak occurred in Tibet. The company promptly donated anti-epidemic medications to the frontline of epidemic prevention and control. The products—including Qizheng Tibetan Medicine’s Influenza Pills, Cuithang Granules (an improved formulation of Cuithang Pills), Ten-Flavor Gentian Flower Granules, Twelve-Flavor Epimedium Powder, Dasima Bao Pills, Wu Peng Pills, Pomegranate Sunrise Pills, Five-Flavor Ambrosia Herbal Bath Powder, and Huoxiang Zhengqi Water—are all listed as anti-epidemic medicinal products in the “Tibet Autonomous Region Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Prevention and Treatment Plan (Trial Version 4).”
