Gannan Fuge Tibetan Medicine Co., Ltd., established in 1998, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tibet Qizheng Tibetan Medicine Co., Ltd. It currently operates multiple production lines for Tibetan medicine powders, water pills, capsules, and other formulations. Fuge Company has registered eight trademarks, with "Tibetan Antelope" as the main brand. It offers a total of 30 varieties, including 30 products such as "Baijie Pills" and "Twenty-Five-Flavor Lapis Lazuli Pills." Among these, two products—“Honghua Ruyi Pills” and “Renqing Mangjue Capsules”—are exclusive products with independent intellectual property rights. Four varieties are designated as nationally protected Chinese medicinal products, and three varieties have been included in the OTC drug catalog.
In August 2000, Foge Company obtained the GMP certificate, becoming the first Tibetan medicine manufacturer in China to achieve GMP certification. While producing its products using modern pharmaceutical equipment and testing instruments in compliance with GMP standards, the company also simultaneously employs traditional Tibetan medicine processing and moxibustion techniques. This integration of traditional Tibetan medicine practices with cutting-edge technology ensures that the products retain their authentic origins, purity, freedom from contamination, classic heritage, and remarkable therapeutic efficacy, while also giving them a modern appearance that meets the lifestyle needs of contemporary consumers. The company has developed and launched film-coated products, filling a gap in the market for film-coated Tibetan medicines; furthermore, it has pioneered tablet production, breaking through the limitations of conventional Tibetan medicine dosage forms and achieving a historic reform in the formulation of Tibetan medicines.
Some of the company’s premium Tibetan medicines, including Baijie Wan, have been awarded the Gold Prize at the “First Hong Kong World Chinese Invention Expo.” The company’s “Demonstration Project for the Industrialization of New High-Tech Tibetan Medicine Water Pills and Capsules” has been included by the State Planning Commission in the “Special Plan for the Industrialization of Modern Chinese Medicine.” The “New Tibetan Medicine—Twenty-Five-Flavor Lapis Lazuli Pill” has been recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology as a “National Torch Program Project for 2000.” The company has successfully integrated advanced modern pharmaceutical production technologies and methods with Tibetan medicine manufacturing, thereby raising the quality standards of Tibetan medicines and enhancing their market competitiveness. The company was honored with the “Ninth Five-Year Plan” Outstanding Technical Renovation Project Award from Gansu Province and was designated by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission as a “Designated National Enterprise for Ethnic Products.”
